CUMMINGS COVE CARES

Cummings Cove is a community with over 450 homes located in Hendersonville, NC.  In early 2012 a Cummings Cove resident had an idea for a neighborhood-wide fundraiser that would support a friend and neighbor battling cancer. The community came together that year and raised over $10,000 for the Pardee Hospital Cancer Treatment Center. This was the beginning of Cummings Cove Cares.

With this success the group decided to continue hosting several fundraising events every three years to support a local charity. In 2015 the community provided One Hope Western North Carolina, a program to fight youth homelessness, with $11,444. In 2019 we raised $23,059 for The Etowah Children’s Center to purchase equipment and supplies, and in 2022 we donated $56,000 to The Free Clinics in Hendersonville supporting healthcare and pharmaceuticals for our most vulnerable population.

OUR 2025 CHARITY

Hurricane Helene Relief, Recovery and Rebuilding for Henderson County and surrounding areas, through the Community Foundation of Henderson County.

Friday, September 27th brought strong winds, torrential rain and devastation to our communities resulting in the loss of lives, homes and businesses. In response, The Community Foundation of Henderson County’s Disaster Relief, Recovery, and Rebuilding Fund has been chosen for our charity this year.  Through the beginning of January, CFHC has provided over half a million dollars in grants to organizations that aid individuals in the repair and rebuilding of their homes, support food and healthcare assistance for victims, engage in environmental testing and cleanup of flooded waterways, as well as other disaster response efforts and programs. This grant program is built to support the wide and dynamic range of recovery efforts in Henderson County and surrounding areas in the wake Helene. The need continues to be great, and our help is needed in funding this valuable community resource.

Thank you to our sponsors!
